An incomplete victory

Ren had no doubt that Bakugo would keep his word, for all his faults he never backed down. And if he would change that now then Ren would ensure that he would become more honest. Yet that was not Ren’s concern as Izuku remained far too forgiving, trying to assure Bakugo that he didn’t need to leave. He wasn’t lording his victory over Bakugo in triumph as he deserved, he didn’t appreciate that what happened to him was unforgivable.

Ren’s assurances weren’t enough though, Izuku still believed Bakugo’s treatment of him was normal or somehow his own fault. It was unacceptable, his guilty heart was causing him pain. But Ren was out of her depth, she was used to manipulating others with her power but to help Izuku with this was something she wasn’t used to. And she couldn’t use her power on him, it would be unethical.

“So you think our beloved still cannot accept the truth, and because of this he doesn’t enjoy his victory.” Kasumi said over the phone, “strange that you would come to me though. I always thought you saw me me as a waste of space.”

“That was before I met Izuku Kasumi and I realised how much worth every woman was as his ****.” Ren replied, “besides between the three of us I would say you are best socially when manipulation isn’t involved.”

“Well anything for Izuku Ren but as I see it there are two problems. First Izuku doesn’t believe that he was wronged by Bakugo and it seems that nothing you say will change that. I’ve seen that before, he thinks there are nuances that you don’t understand because you weren’t there.” She explained, causing Ren’s eyes to widen. Never having quite appreciated her sister’s wisdom, “and secondly he hasn’t had a chance for his ****. You took it, he didn’t so of course he wasn’t satisfied.”

“I see.” Ren said slowly, feeling a dark feeling of dread fill in her stomach, “what do I do?”

“We’ll need a different source to convince him, one he’s known longer and more involved, and then we’ll figure out some other way of ****. Though we both know that our beloved doesn’t seek **** actively.” Kasumi suggested, causing Ren to think thoughtfully. As she did her eyes passed over old model magazines, and her eyes settled on the oldest. Containing one of the models that Ren’s career had overshadowed.

“Kasumi I have an idea.”
