An ex waiter

After just a few minutes a smiling waitress materialize next to your table of you holding a pair of menus.

"Good evening you two, My name is Jennifer and i will be your waiter for the eve... Alex?" Her looks changes slightly from the one worn professionally by her trade to one of bemusement. Alex on the other hand looks at her with a mixture of shock and embarrassment. You feel confused and go on guard.

"Jennifer, what are you doing here." Alex asks sounding as he looks.

"Well after our relationship ended i managed to salvage something good out of it by getting a jobb at the place you always took me to." She triumphantly ignore the fact that Alex is desperately trying to sink trough his chair and turn towards you.

"And this must be your latest catch. Care to introduce us?"

"Amy this is my ex girlfriend Jennifer, Jennifer my wife Amy." Alex mumbles.

"Oh." Jennifer says as she seizes you up. "Ooooh i see." She says again as if she got the punchline to a good joke. Her eyes clearly looking your hand resting reflexively on your distended belly.

"Well here are your menus, you love birds take your time and i will be back in a little bit." She says sounding like she just won the lottery.

"Oh and it's good seeing you again Alex." She says as she turns to walk away, just to rub it in.
