An evening at the coffee shop

I follow Ako and Sae outside and after looking at the campus map, we find the coffee shop. It's a warm and cozy place under one of the main building, with a settings that reminds me the old London's pub. Few round tables are in the center and booth seats on the side. We sit in one of the booth, Ako on a side and Sae next to me, which surprise me a little. We then look at the menu and I notice that there is some nice choices of cake and muffins, which is a good plus.

"It's pretty good for a campus coffee shop." I say.

"It's my first time in one, so I can't really compare. Everything looks interesting." Ako explains.

"Oh, you'll be okay with the menu ?"

"Yeah, yeah don't worry."

A waitress arrive at our table, dressed casually except for the apron with her name, Danny, written on it.

"Are you ready to order ?"

I look at the others, but Ako already asks for a moccachino.

"I'll take a coffee, two sugar, a little bit of milk." I say after her.

We both look at Sae and she timidly ask for a hot cocoa.

The waitress nod and walk away.

I take a look around, and notice in one of the booth, the pregnant girl bouncing on someone's lap. And he is not the guy she was sucking earlier today.

"Oh, it's the pregnant girl from earlier." I think out loud.

Ako and Sae looks at her.

"Oh yeah, an addicted. In my home country, we take care of them as breeders, most of us comes from breeders." Ako explain.

"It's interesting and considerate. How you deal with the men addicted though ?" I ask.

"We make them fight in arenas to keep only the strongest and so we keep our bloodline strong. It's even a show in some big cities."

That part is so brutal, it surprise me. Especially after I've heard about how they cared for the women. I'm not even sure we'll do anything close to that. Humans tend to ignore and put under the rugs, things that doesn't affect them.

"Do you know what they do in the realm of the dark elves ?" I ask out of curiosity.

But Ako shakes her head.

"They say they don't have addicted... Which is obviously bullshit. But since they're really secretive about their culture, it's impossible to know how they deal with them."

I think back at Kataris expression when she saw the pregnant girl. They most certainly don't do anything nice to those who breaks under the arousal induced by magic.

We talk, mostly Ako and me about a little bit of everything. I'm surprised how much she knows about our culture when she never been in a coffee shop. After we get our orders, Sae talks a little bit, but not much. We end up coming back late and Katiris is already sleeping when I get to bed.
