An ambush

You decide that you have to go see what Bruno wants to talk about, no matter the risks. You teleport into the lobby of the hotel and take the elevator up to the room Helen gave you. You couldn't teleport directly in because you don't have a picture of the actual room, so you're wary of the unknown.

You knock on the door and wait. About 10 seconds later, the door handle turns and Bruno opens it. He's wearing a light blue suit and he looks tired.

"Come in," he says solemnly. You enter after him and close the door behind you. It's a pretty big room and you look around cautiously, wondering if he has laid any traps.

Bruno motions for you to take a seat around a round table where there's a bottle of whiskey and 2 glasses. He pours out the whiskey and slips 1, leaving the other glass for you. It seems too obvious of a trap, but at this point, you've been burned enough by Bruno. You're sure his ring that gives him luck is activated at the moment. So, you remain standing and decline the drink.

"Taking my company and the plane was a ruthless move. I'd admire it if I weren't on the receiving end," Bruno says as he sits down facing you. "But burning my house down was unnecessary. Dangerous even. What if there were people inside?"

"I made sure there was no one. Helen mentioned you wanted to call a truce," you say, crossing your arms.

"Helen, you even took Helen from me. She's a great assistant. Overqualified, but I pay her a lot for her job, more than any woman I've ever touched," Bruno says, then he raises his hand with the magic ring. "You know, these magic rings can't be removed by someone else. You either have to take it off yourself, or someone has to cut your fingers off."

"What the fuck does that mean?!?" you ask, growing impatient, when you suddenly hear a sound from behind you and before you can turn around, someone is holding a knife to your throat. The fast movement and perfume of the person behind you lets you know their identity right away. It's Carmen, using her ninja agility and skills.
