An aggravating phone call.

You wake up the next morning to your phone ringing loudly. "Where the hell are you?!" Virginia screeches in your ear. "You'd better have a damn good reason for skipping out with no warning."

"I'm, I'm sorry," you stammer, trying to come up with something to tell her. "My, uh, my cousin James was murdered and we, we, just got through with the funeral."

Virginia sighs loudly, and you swear you can hear her finger tapping on her desk. "My condolences," her voice comes through, with just a hint of concern. She sighs again. "Get all the necessary documents to HR and I'll see you next week. But, next time you need emergency time off, you inform either me or Helen. You don't tell us within two days, don't bother coming in. Got it?"

"Got it, got it. Thanks. See you." You reply, not surprised that, even if you were telling the truth, she'd still threaten to fire you. Collapsing in your couch, you wonder how you're going to get a **** certificate for a total stranger.

"It's not that difficult," Cerebos says, trotting out of your kitchen. "You're out of food by the way. So we should pick up something on the way to...wherever it is where you get that paper."

Looking in your kitchen, you rub your temples and groan. He's torn it upside down and eaten everything. Letting out another groan, you throw your hands in the air and take a long shower, before leaving the house.
