An adventurous, spacefaring utopia

In this future, humanity has reached for the stars and found them bountiful. By the 26th century, mankind has stretched its arms across a decent swathe of the Milky Way, driven by an impulse for exploration and discovery. We found world after world, and discovered that we are not alone. Humans joined a vast community of alien life. Curiously, we found that the majority of humanoid life shared similar gender ratios and sexual behaviors as humans. Not always identical, of course—but usually similar.

Advances in automation, farming, and energy generation have pushed planet Earth to a state of near-post-scarcity. The basic needs of all citizens are cared for, making careers an optional thing for those who wish to pursue a passion or be able to indulge in extra luxury. Of the careers available in this age, the most prestigious is service with the Deep Space Corps—an exploration, diplomacy, and peacekeeping armada staffed by humans and aliens alike.

The Corps strike out into the vast unknown, pioneering the way into the yet unexplored reaches of the galaxy, always eager to meet (and yes, fuck) new life and new civilizations.
