An adventurer

You wasn't sure how many days you spent in that cell, there weren't any windows so you quickly lost sense of time. But one day(or night) something changes. Namely a sword's blade couple inches from your face was sticking out from the fleshy wall - somebody is trying to enter from outside. You get away from the wall and couple minutes later a hole appeared in the wall and someone crawled inside. Your cell didn't had any sources of light and judging from lack of light outside must be night so you can't see the person properly.

"Huh?" - the person gasped as they noticed you, their voice was pretty feminine you thought.

"Wait! We're not with cult, we're just prisoners!"

"Oh, yeah, thought so... I came here when heard that this village cut all contacts and there was seen group of weird people... So, I'm here to deal with that cult."

"Um, can you do it?" - Alice, my wife seemed concerned.

"Yes, it's not the first time I'm dealing with this cult, so I know what to do."

"Um, can I help you? I may not look like it, but I know this village and I was soldier so I can help you in battles."

"Hmm, okay I'll take your offer. Oh, my name is Kyle."

"I'm John and this is my wife Alice." - you introduce yourself before Kyle climbed outside, then after they confirmed that coast is clear Alice crawled after them and finally you followed them, though the hole was small for your hips and butt you managed to squeeze yourself through.

Outside indeed was a night, the moon was visible through some clouds. There weren't any lights in any of village's houses aside from church. You saw that the buildings were covered in the flesh that connects to church by vein-like tentacles. Also in dim moonlight you was able to see your savior. The Kyle was couple inches shorter than you and had very feminine and pretty face with bright blue eyes and bonde long hair tied in single braid. Though Kyle had feminine looks you're pretty sure he's a boy. He had flat chest, slim and fit body and pretty wide hips with rather noticeable butt with thick thighs. Their equipment was light, it consisted of leather top and short shorts with cloth loincloth covering their crotch. He also had a belt with sword and dagger.

"So, what we need to do?" - you asked after you finished looking around.

"We need to destroy their altar, so their connection with that god will be cut. Also take this..." - Kyle give you and Alice couple bracelets with blue gems and his dagger to you. - "While you wearing this their god won't see you, though you still be visible for ordinary people. Also ordinary weapon is useless against it, so take that dagger."

After Alice hid in the barrel near your home you and Kyle carefully head toward the church. You wasn't happy about killing cultists, but they came and destroyed your life so it was the only way.

"Do you know how many of them came to the village?" - asked Kyle when you were in front of church's entrance.

"Hmm, I think there were around 30 of them, but I don't know if they all here or some of them moved to some other place..."

"Okay... we killed 5 of them on the way here and if there were dozen of them on patrol, there must be around 20 inside... Listen, I'll deal with altar and you try to attract attention of the cultists, okay? Well, 1... 2... 3... Go!"

The church inside has rather spacious hall with four columns holding high roof, though it's not surprising as the church was the biggest building in village. Like other houses the hall was covered by the cult's god's flesh, but not entirely, one wall was clear and there was installed some kind of laboratory and on other wall was door leading to basement where were living rooms for priests. But what attracted your attention was tall pillar of flesh near far end of hall where once was ordinary altar. The pillar as around 3 or 4 meters tall and had several thick tentacles near its' base and large yellow eye, which frantically looked around trying, but thanks to Kyle's bracelets failing to see you, but there were several cultists which clearly can see you.

While they stay still trying to came to their sence Kyle run toward flesh pillar and you follow him cutting enemies that were on your way, as your companion rushed toward center you quickly blocked the door leading to basement to stop enemy reinforcements and get back to help Kyle. Suddenly when you were just several meters away from altar you were hit by one of tentacles which madly wriggled around trying to hit invisible(for them) enemy and they knocked away some unsuccessful cultist and you and destroyed one column, but you see as Kyle run forward gracefully dodging tentacles and...

SKREEEEEEE!!!! - the moment Kyle's blade pierced yellow eye you were deafen by soulpiercing scream. Kyle didn't stopped though and began wildly cutting god's flesh until the thing stop screaming.

"Ugh... I guess that's all?" - you asked as you stand up when this short fight was over.

"Mhm, I destroyed their god's presence..."

"You killed the god?!"

"Um, no. It's hard to explain, but..." - Kyle start explaining but at this moment another column holding roof crumbled and loud creaks and groans from above indicate that the church can collapse any moment. - "Run John!"
