An Unlikely Ensemble: Caitlyn, Shyvana, and Sona

"Hmm... a circular burn mark, most damaged in the center, then fading as it goes out, and the plants around the outer edge seems even more lifelike than before. Does this look like one of her spells?" Caitlyn asked, looking up from the ring of dirt and scorched foliage.

"Hell if I know." Shyvana shrugged. The broad woman looked even more massive as she stood over Caitlyn, seven feet of dragon scales, muscle, and perturbed attitude. Even in human form she was pretty intimidating, with limbs as thick as Caitlyn was around her stomach, though her own slimness contributed to the comparison considerably.

The emphatic bobbing of blue ponytails from behind the half-dragoness stole Caitlyn's attention over to her other companion. Sona Buvelle was just peeking out past the dragonborn's side, timidity on her face mixed with the urgent nodding of someone who's been passed over for her silence a few too many times. Caitlyn gave her an endearing smile, then stood up. She'd been confident she was right all along, of course, the scorch mark couldn't have been more obviously caused by that light mage's spells, but when you're working with foreign nobles to track down one of their little friends, it's best to look the part.

They'd made it pretty far into the jungle already, past the point where tall grasses gave way to dense trees and knee-high foliage, to the point that it was difficult to walk quickly without Shyvana leading the way. Caitlyn would be the first to admit that they were a strange and rag-tag bunch, but with Garen off skirmishing with Noxus, Vi busy tracking down a different case, and Prince Jarvan busily doing whatever it is prince reagents do, there weren't exactly many options. Caitlyn was just thankful she wasn't out here on her own.

"Allright, she's this way. I'm sure of it." Caitlyn said, and Shyvana stepped past her to being leading the way deeper into the jungle. The other two followed, unaware that they were being watched by quite a few pairs of eyes. It had been weeks since Luxanna Crownguard had mysteriously vanished in broad daylight. Search parties take time to organize, after all, and for a few days, no one had known for certain if she was truly missing at all. The time had been well spent, but the fact remained that the newcomers to this world had not been idle. It was high time that the toad's new den got the chance to grow.
