An Overview of Variables

On the whole variables will track the decisions you have made. They are not something you should aim to maximise. Most of them fall into one of two categories.

Character Variables

Character variables track your relationship with the character whose name is the variable. Nonzero values will be visible. The further from zero, the more intimate the relationship has become, with 5 generally meaning you’ve had sex with them, and higher suggesting the sex has got kinkier. As an example, for most of the teachers, 5 means you’ve had sex with them, 6 means they know you’re sleeping with others (either because they’ve been part of a threesome, they’ve watched you with another, or they’ve just worked it out), while 7 means they know you’re sleeping with students.

Some character variables can go negative. These negative values are just a way of handling a second possible relationship path with the character. In these cases, the magnitude of the value has the same significance regardless of the sign. i.e. -5 has the same meaning as +5 (you’ve had sex with them, just under different conditions).

Story Threads

The other main variables are what I call Story Threads. Story Threads track your progress through other story lines. Story thread values won’t be visible because they’re meaningless without a lookup and I’m not publishing lookups because that would offer spoilers. Instead at the beginning of each part I will list all the active story threads and give a description of your place in them.

There are several specific descriptions that should be explained. Not Started and Not Opened tell you that although you’ve had the opportunity to start the story thread you haven’t taken it. The difference between the 2 is that for Not Started there will still be opportunities to take it, while for Not Opened you’ve passed all those and can no longer start it.

Some descriptions may start with the word Stalled, indicating that you’ve started it, you haven’t continued following it, and can no longer progress this story thread.

Be aware there will be no path that allows you to complete all story threads, but there will be paths that allow you to complete most of them.
