An Invitation to Falenwest

You are breaking your fast together with Elizabeth, Hannah and Hannah's younger sister. Once that is over, Hannah and her sister excuse themselves and leave you and Elizabeth alone. You and she finally get to talk alone.

"You killed him, didn't you?" You ask Elizabeth. She doesn't even ask who you are referring to. She looks at your straight for a whole minute before her eyes move to the side. "What do you think?" Neither denying nor confirming it.

"Oh you are our mother's daughter."

Later you give a celebratory toast to Otto and the other commanders. You, Otto and the men brought with you did plenty of the work subduing the rogue nobles but the arrival and assistance of the other commanders and their men was a huge moral booster as well as granting numerical superiority. King Franz Karl was true to his word and did not intervene or even protest.

"To a job well done, my good men." You raise your glass and so do they, cheering all the while.

A messenger comes in not too long after the cheers die down and hands you a letter.

"What is it, my King?" Otto asks.

"It is an invitation from Duchess Erica of Falenwest. She requests I come to her. She wants to speak with me."

Again Otto asks, "When do we leave?"
