An Interruption.

The hulking raider headed towards the entrance. Or more precisely, towards the table by the door, on which he'd left his shotgun, bandolier and Super Sledge.

From the blurriness of her **** stupor, Nora was still present enough to know that was a bad thing. Those gunshots, they had to be a rescue. conventional ammo from Nate, and laser discharge from that Continental Army throwback they'd encountered in town.

Nate mowed his way through the Corvega plant. If anyone on this Rad-scorched earth could keep him from Nora, these Raiders weren't them. For every chemmed out thug the former soldier brought down with his pipe rifle and 10mm pistol, Preston's laser musket vaporised another. As outlandish as his whole schtick was, the Minuteman was a hell of an ally to have by his side. No doubt Nora would think the same when they had a chance to get more fully introduced...

"If I know anything about Raiders, the big man's holed up in there." Preston told Nate, cranking his musket as they ascended one gore-soaked set of stairs. Nate nodded, slamming a new clip into his pistol before kicking the door open.

A bestial scream greeted the gunmen. Fortunately, Nate, between his well-honed reflexes and his Pip-Boy's VATS module, was more than ready for the sledgehammer wielding brute. He caught the musclebound marauder three times in the chest. When that wasn't enough to put him out of commission, Preston let fly with a wad of plasma, gooifying the thug.

Good riddance, Nate thought, before his eyes alighted on Nora, naked and bound.

"Honey! Nora, honey are you still with us?" Nate asked, rushing over to her.

"Gonna... take more than that to stop me..." Nora said blearily, to her husband's relief.
