An Interruption During Planning

Everything was going well that week, the first nine weeks had just finished and that meant only nine more weeks until Christmas Break. The first bit flew by even if she was working with some extra challenging material for her students.

Her door was suddenly unlocked and the aged secretary Amber entered.

"Ah there you are dear." she said as she stood in the doorway.

"Hey," Leah said with a smile just glad it wasn't that bastard again. "What's up?"

"Oh I don't know." she said wrinkling her face "But Mr. Howard wanted me to grab you. Said something about your intercom not working right?"

That son of a bitch. Leah had been sure to avoid most calls from the secretary at the front office. Each time she would call she would wince to hear if she needed to "report" to the principal's office. Leah's most recent solution was simply not answering the intercom and pretending to be elsewhere. Principal Howard must have figured sending someone would be a way to curb that.

I guess I can't just duck under my desk or run away.

"He wants to see me?" Leah asked, hoping against hope.

"Yes he does. Not sure what it is about."

Leah rolled her eyes.

"I'll be right there." she said with a **** smile. She saved her work, tided her desk up, delayed as long as possible then headed on to the front office.

"Ah Miss Williams." he said with a wry smile as he let her in his office.

"What is it?" Leah said with a tone of bitterness.

"I thought I would check in and hear about how one of my favorite teachers is doing." He showed a wolfish smile.

"Everything is going well. I was just in the middle of grading papers and getting work done. Until I was interrupted with this...summons. " Leah said her tone changing to one of sarcasm.

"I don't mean to interrupt your work for your class...but I have something else you need to work on." He grinned.

Did he just thrust his groin out some? Disgusting.

"Really?" Leah balked "Its almost time for class change." She wanted to delay so she could get out of it. Maybe he would be too busy on Friday to mess with her if she could just get past this Thursday problem. She pulled her phone out to add emphasis as she checked the time.

"Miss Williams," he said flatly adding "You will do this...work...or else. Well you know what will happen." He raised his eyebrows up as if just the threat was enough to get her to do his bidding.

"I just don't thin--" Leah was cut off when her phone suddenly vibrated in her hand. A text message.

"Oh my god." Leah read the message again.

"What's wrong?" Mr. Howard asked, peering at her.

"My Fiancé is coming by. He just left his office." Leah said as she scrambled to send him a text message.

"Coming by here?" he asked.

"Yes," Leah said almost shaking "He is bringing me flowers." What fucking timing Jonathan. Even if it is sweet as hell. Wait...perfect. With Jonathan coming and the class change so soon--thank God I am saved.

"Better tell him you are busy." He chuckled.

Leah typed out a message hastily. "Hey babe, I am busy--in a meeting. Can you give me my surprise later?"

*Not Delivered* He didn't respond either.

"Damn it." Leah cursed "His phone is dead."

"Then in that case I guess you'd better hurry." Mr. Howard said with a smirk.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Leah was exacerbated.

"Do I look like I'm kidding?" the question was rhetorical.

Leah knew about how long it would take for her fiancé to drive to her school, then how long it would take to check in. Amber at the front desk knew Jonathan and would let him in easily, not much of a stall there.
