An Answer and more Questions.

Danny awoke feeling rested and well. His dreams had been peaceful and he felt ready to properly start the new day. He sat up feeling the sunlight on his skin and smiling, before his face became a scowl as he remembered he had to work in an hour.

"But what if you didn't Danny? What if you never had to work another day in your life." Danny twitched as he heard the thought enter his head. He had partially hoped that he had dreamed it. "Just call your boss Danny, I can help you work everything out." Danny thought about this. The offer was tempting but there were things that nagged at him.

"Who are you and why are you speaking to me?" The sound of a chuckle impressed itself in Danny's head, drifting off quietly as more thoughts pressed into his mind.

"I suppose it's only fair to give you some answers huh? Well Danny, the thing is I can't explain everything just yet. Let's just say that all of this is gonna go better if we take it slow. But I'll tell you that I've come to help you find the life you really want deep down, and to live up to the legacy of those that came before you. I will also tell you that my name is Vixellia, but you can just call me Vix if you'd like to." Danny thought about this for a moment.

"When you say legacy what do you mean? Like my parents legacy?" Danny didn't think his parents were particularly proud of him but they didn't have much of a legacy to live up to, considering they both worked at a grocery store for close to minimum wage.

"In a sense, but not the parents you know, these are parents of a different sort." Danny frowned, more perplexed than before. "Perhaps I've said too much too early. The details aren't important right now. Let's focus on getting you out of work right now okay?" Danny thought about it. He supposed it was worth a shot.

"Sure, what did you have in mind?"
