Amy says 'Yes'

Amy looked cute on the beach. Karen's bikini fit a little tighter on Amy than it would have on Karen which made her breasts look like they wanted to pop out and her big sunglasses partially hid the damage some long-ago horse had done and that had never, yet, been fixed. She was tan and fit from horse riding and whatever other expensive sports people on the Hill occupied their time. Karen just looked like Karen--cute, with her upturned nose and hot little body.

But they weren't there for Matt to check out the girl action. They were there to hear what Amy had decided. When it came down to it, Amy was the easy one. If he couldn't persuade her to not only go along but actively help him achieve his dream of banging the hot girls of Peninsula High, he wasn't likely to be able to persuade any of the other girls on his target list. Which would completely suck. And right now, Amy wasn't a sure thing... even though Karen had manipulated her into this beach outing which would make it that much harder for her to turn them down.

"I've been thinking about this deal," Amy said. "It meant a lot to me that you told the truth from the start, Matt. But I also don't want to hold you back, I don't want you to have to pretend to be with me when you'd really rather be with Natasha or Tanya or that redhead on the bus or the Chinese girl in your biology class or Debby or even your sister."

"She's American," Matt said. "Sorry to interrupt but Cindi is not Chinese. She was born here in America and her parents are Vietnamese, not Chinese at all."

Amy laughed. "Sorry. But that's something else I like about you, besides that you're kind of cute and it's funny that you're always doing pushups and you're super-smart. You look out for your friends."

Did he? He didn't have that many friends but he supposed he would fight for the ones he had, including Amy when it came to it.

"After we talked this morning, I knew I'd feel guilty about saying no but I could still do it. Because I didn't just want a paid-for boyfriend. I wanted a real friend. And if there was some boyfriend action to go with it, that would have been fine."

She held up a hand when Karen looked like she was going to interrupt. "Anyway, I decided I had to say no. But then you invited Wendy, see I was paying attention, she's not just the redhead, she's a real girl, and me to sit together, you did your best to help me make a new friend. I know you're doing that partly because you want to bang both of us but I need friends. Before Karen moved here, I didn't have any. I went to those horse events and there were all these girls and they were all so busy hanging with each other and ignoring me and we competed and I, like, tried to be nice and they looked at me like I was some horse-shit on their boots and never even talked to me. And Karen did... and I know it was partly because she wanted to ride real bad but I understand that. So, anyway, I know I'm rambling but I'm going to try this stupid deal of my mother's. I'm going to go ahead with it, be your girlfriend even though I have to pay to make it happen. And I know you want to have other girlfriends too. Hell, if I can share you with your own sister, I sure as hell can share you with Tanya or Natasha or both. So, do we have a deal."

He looked at Karen who mouthed 'kiss her, you moron' at him, so he did.
