Chapter 5 by Admira Admira

Is the Lamp empty?

Amber has plenty of room to relax!

The Lamp was concerned.

Not in the same way a person would be. It wasn't afraid or worried, not truly. It didn't have the emotional or physical capacity to feel a stomach sink or skin to break out in a cold sweat. Yet still if felt concern.

Its newest Host, an attractive young woman as many of its Hosts tended to be, was dying. Her soul was dissolving in much the same way her ragged leather and gold armor was dissolving— only the Lamp had no control over the tiny specks of soul-stuff that winked out even as it worked. Lust was technically under the Dominion of Creation, and the Lamp was often indirectly involved in creating new soulseeds, but this was at the very limit of its power to handle without a Host and Master to direct it.

For a short time, the Lamp considered letting this one go so she could pass on to whatever afterlife the local gods had left behind, and try again with the next person to contact it.

Until something unusual happened.

The ragged hole in the potential Host's soul was starting to shrink. Knitting together on its own, even siphoning some of the Lamp's excess energy to restore herself. Slowly, maybe not fast enough to prevent total evaporation, but enough for the Lamp to work with.

With mist glowing a bright amber, the young woman's body and mind were changed and reinforced to suit her new purpose as a Master's adoring sex ****.

It didn't need to do very much with her body. The Host was young and fit with a slender build. Tan skin, shoulder length brown hair, amber eyes in a round friendly face. The local mortals had an unusual ability to bring their soul into the material realm, allowing accelerated healing and a very slight transformation into their own physical ideal, so her beauty was unmarred by injury or illness. All the Lamp needed to do was remove body hair and widen her hips a tad, plus the universal improvement to sexual sensitivity and resilience, so she could immediately serve a Master of any size.

Her mind however...

That was another story.

Who finds the Lamp next?
