Amanda's shower

Ah. That one. Okay then.

So we were lucky, us four girls, in that our surnames were close to one another alphabetically, which meant that we were mostly in the same classes. Of course lucky is a relevant term, as I'm sure you'll learn in a few minutes, but for four friends who just wanted to hang out all the time it was ideal.

It was a Wednesday, I think, when we had our gym class. Jess was, of course, a fabulous athlete and the school's running team, women's wrestling team and the women's softball team were all fighting for a piece of her. Me and Becky were so-so. We liked a few sports but didn't really try that hard most of the time. Amanda, of course, was terrible, and spent most of the time with her face in a book. For a class which largely involved balls travelling at high speed it was not an ideal situation; her glasses were held together in the centre by tape, and she would usually finish the lesson with a few bruises. She didn't seem to care, however, so long as she had her books.

With the lesson over (we were out running on the track, if I remember correctly) we made our way back into the women's changing rooms sweaty and tired. Becky was babbling on about how her new running shoes were supposed to increase performance while Jess and I just undressed in silence, occasionally agreeing with her but not really listening to a word she was saying. Amanda kept one hand on her book, still reading it, while her free hand mechanically set about removing her gym clothes. It was commonplace at this point, so we didn't think anything special about it.

Once we were naked, Jess, Becky and I made our way to the showers with our towels held loosely around our bodies. The showers themselves were open, meaning you could view the entire locker room from inside of them, and was large enough for the entire class to use them the same time. We placed our towels in the hooks provided just outside the showers and set about cleaning ourselves up along with a dozen other girls.

"Hey," whispered Becky after a few moments. "What's Amanda doing?"

I turned around. Amanda was standing in the middle of the locker room stark naked and reading her book. She was rubbing her free hand all over her body; not in a sexual way, but in a shower-y, cleaning yourself sort of way. A few of the other girls noticed and began giggling. I suppose I could have gone over and helped her but I was enjoying the hot water and, since most of the girls were watching her now, I didn't feel like enduring their stares by stepping out of the shower in front of them.

After another few moments, Amanda stopped her bizarre shower mime and twisted an imaginary handle on the wall. She turned, and before we knew what she was doing she was at the door to the locker room that led to the hallway outside.

"Hey Amanda-" Becky called out.

She didn't hear. Without warning, Amanda opened the door and stepped out into the school hallway... completely naked.

"Shit." Jess swore.

"What do we do?" Becky asked, panic entering her voice.

There was only one thing to do, really. I stepped out of the shower and grabbed my towel, and quickly wrapped it around my body. It covered me from just below my neck to just above my knees. I tied it off as tightly as I could, then in a few short steps made my way to the hallway entrance. I took a deep breath, then stepped outside.

The hallway was empty of students, thankfully, as there were still a few minutes left until the school bell signalled the next lesson. I looked around, trying to see where Amanda was. I saw her bare behind and bare legs just as they rounded a corner. Judging by the direction she was walking in, I had a fair idea where she was going.
