Ama, Lady of the Moon

Ama is the spirit of the Moon, which grants her a more complicated powerbase than many deities. As befits the patron of a changeable orb, she holds great power but it is spread over many spheres. She has a certain affinity for the element of water, and in particular holds dominion over sailors and ships. She likewise is a patron of storytellers, and has dominion over madness and hallucination. She is also a virginal deity, and a patron of young and unblooded girls. Her sacred metals are silver and quicksilver.

More than any other major deity, Ama has invested her power in the sponsorship of a specific people. Her Amazons, while they do worship the whole pantheon, are hers in a way that only her brother Aeshdan's sponsorship of the Doramin even approaches.

Ama is usually depicted as a woman in her late teens, with snow-white skin and black hair and eyes, often carrying a bow.
