All the way to the door

The alley was still cluttered with debris, and the beast from earlier couldn't have wandered too far off. She motioned for the hunter to follow her down the alley.
Reaching the door, Jessica found it chillingly unlocked. Just as she had pulled it an inch open, she began to thank the hunter. "Good hunter, I want to-"

But the hunter took in a large loud inhale through his nose, catching some scent she did not, his attention elsewhere. From inside she heard her aunt curse, with a tinkle of glass. "Oh that must be my aunt, she-" the hunter pushed past her, opening the door by grabbing the exposed edge. She could see him tremble as he suddenly composed himself, his breath still rapid. He turned to her, his covered eyes hiding the true meaning of the look, but Jessica took the opportunity to slip inside, the man all but pushing her as he closed it behind her. She turned and locked the door, as she could hear the man breath heavily outside. Agitation apparent in every bated breath.
"Oh dear, I'm so bad at these new injectors" Jessica turned to see her Aunt's broken vial bleeding its contents onto the table in front of her. "Do you mind?" her aunt continued, nodding at the kit in front of her.

Jessica paused for a moment, noting the steps walking away from her home. "Yes auntie, let me clean up first though."
