As Mercedes continued hugging Annette, she noticed how she could strangely feel her friend's bare skin with her arms, and what's more, that she could also feel her own skin being touched by her hands. Something strange what's definitely going on here, and Annette too, noted the same as her.

"Eh..., thanks Mercie, but i think i need to check something", said Annette as she broke the hug, and looked at her friend. Due to the smoke remaning in the room, she couldn't tell at first, but once it cleared, it revealed something shocking to her.

There it was, Mercedes von Martritz, almost completely naked in front of her, and covered in ash and the burnt scraps of her clothes, with only a half burnt rag covering her breasts and privates, for when Annette accidentaly casted the wrong spell, the fires grew wilder and stronger in wake of the explosion, covering her in flames, and burning her clothing quickly, so that by the time she put the fire down, this was all that was left of them.

"Mercie, your clothes!!", exclamed Annette loudly at the shock of seing her friend in such a state.

"Oh dear Seiros!!", replied Mercedes nervously as she took notice of her state of attire, doing her best to use her remaning scraps to cover more of her skin.

"What happened ?", asked Annette concerned, "I don't know, but, you too Annie, look at yourself !!", Mercedes replied, pointing at her friend.

As she looked at herself, It was then that Annette realized that what happened to Mercedes, had happened to her also, but worse!, for she had not a single bit of fabric over her ash covered body, meaning that unlike Mercedes, who at least that privilege, there was nothing covering her small breasts and honey from the eyes of her best friend, no thanks to being in the center of the fire and the explosion.

"Ahhhhhh!!!", yelled Annette as she covered herself with her hands. "Why ?!!", she added.

"I Think that the fire must have burnt our clothes", Mercedes commented. "Whatever, we need to get dressed!", Annette said.

As she looked all over the kitchen, desperately for anything she could wear, Annette saw the mechanical clock in the wall of the kitchen, upon which, a grim realization appeared in her mind. "What are we going to do, It won't take long for Byleth to return", she commented.
