All eyes on her

As she took a seat at the table, Candace noticed that she was already drawing attention from nearby students. A lot of attention. And for good reason! The naked girl stuck out like a sore thumb in the semi-crowded dining hall, given that literally everyone else was fully clothed. Candace's blush deepened and she self-consciously crossed her arms over her chest. Her lower half was at least kept mostly out of view by the table in front of her.

Whispers and murmurs ran throughout the crowd as nearly every pair of eyes turned to face the bare girl. Abby, Katie, Melanie, and Cameron were trying to carry on a normal conversation at the table, despite their fifth member being nude. A few people in the surrounding crowd took hesitant steps forward, clearly wanting to ask about the bizarre situation. Candace even thought she detected concern in the eyes of a nearby girl. Maybe she'd even be willing to lend her something to wear? The stranger opened her mouth, seemingly about to ask a question, but it died on her lips at the sight of the rest of Candace's group acting perfectly normal about her nudity. She probably figured that there was some sort of reason or explanation why the girl wasn't wearing any clothes, and simply left the area. As a few other nearby girls similarly failed to speak up, Candace felt like a potential chance at getting some clothes was rapidly slipping away. But what Cameron said next solidified those chances at zero.

"Oh yeah," he said to a few nearby guys who had been eyeing Candace up, "She's a nude model for art classes. She does this all the time!"

Candace felt her blood run cold. Why had he said that? She'd literally told him that wasn't the case just a few minutes ago! Had he really not been listening? And, even worse, Cameron had said it loud enough for most of the crowd to hear.

A collective "Ah..." went through the students, as if the explanation made perfect sense. Even if what Cameron had said was true, why would Candace be naked outside of the art rooms?! But it was too late. Now everyone would likely assume that Candace was totally fine with being naked in front of everyone. No one would be offering to lend her any clothes now...

"You sit tight, Candace," Abby said as she stood up from the table. "I'll be right back with some food for you!"

"Okay," Candace managed to say as she watched Abby walk away.

A moment later, Katie, Melanie, and Cameron got up to grab some food as well. Candace suddenly found herself alone at the table. Alone, but still surrounded by various students at other nearby tables, plus more than a few milling around nearby. She gulped, hoping her new friends wouldn't take too long.
