All alone

One morning you prepare for school just like on any other day, but this day, Jenny doesn't answer your morning texts and calls. You give up trying to reach her and just have one of your colleagues give you a ride to school. You get more unsettled as the day goes by, and there is no sign of Jenny anywhere. You decide to not waste any more time and call her father. The stress is killing you.

"Hello?"

"Hi, this is Max, I didn't see Jenny at school today, and she isn't answering my calls; do you know what happened?"

"Max? Didn't she spend the night with you?"

"No? I didn't see her after she went to work."

"Well, she didn't come home last night. Maybe she was with someone from the pack?"

"I don't know; I didn't call yet. I'll let you know if I find something."

"Please do!"

You call Mia and Nicole, but neither knows anything and even after they ask around, they still have no clues. You try asking Tom and Leyla, but they don't know anything. They do try to cheer you up but to no avail. They think people don't just disappear in this day and age, but what do they know?

"I can't keep going like this!" You say this as you gather your stuff and walk out of school. It's useless to stay at school in the situation you are in, as you couldn't concentrate on any lectures anyway, so you start searching around the town; maybe you can find something.

The fear of losing your mate is ripping your heart apart. You can't stand the crowded places anymore, so you decide to search the more infamous places in hopes of finding anything.

"Oh? What do we have here? Are you lost, boy?" Some tough guy decided it was a good time to impress his friends, but you ignore him and keep walking. You sensed them from far away and decided to have a look, but they don't smell of anything supernatural.

"You think you can just ignore me?" He walks toward your path and blocks it.

You slowly lift your head and look at the man. He looks like he goes to the gym every day and probably gets to intimidate people with just his presence, but today is his bad day.

"Move out of the way..." you say slowly so his friends that are approaching won't hear. The last thing you need is a confrontation. He doesn't get your clue and tries to punch you, but you easily catch it and start squeezing.

"Teach him a lesson!", "Show him who's boss!", "Maybe he has some cash!", his friends encourage him. His face turns red and tries to take his hand away, but once you caught it, you won't let go until you're sure he understands that today is a bad day.

"If you want to live, I suggest you move out of the way or the police will find you and your friends in a barrel. Do you understand?" you threaten him slowly. He keeps quiet, so you squeeze harder.

"Yes, yes!" He almost yells, and you let go. He moves out of the way, and you move past him and keep walking. Deciding his pride was hurt, he yells "And don't let me catch you again!" after you put some distance, but you decide to ignore him as you don't want more trouble before you find Jenny.

You feel something is wrong, but you just can't tell what. "Am I missing something? We didn't even have an argument; why would she just leave without packing anything? Maybe someone caught her, but who can even capture a werewolf? Maybe someone shot her?" Her colleagues said nothing special happened at work.

You keep wandering, lost, and hurting until you find yourself close to an abandoned building by the train tracks, and Bandon is walking towards you from the opposite direction.

"Is something wrong, bud? You seem lost!" he smirks when he sees you.

"Fuck off!" You keep walking past him.
