Alien Attack!

As you reach the location of the trouble you notice people running for their lives. Atom Eve uses her powers to help them get to safety and you assist her. While helping a fallen man get to his feet you see something strange. A person with a weird starfish thing on the face is chasing a young woman. They catch her and place a starfish on her too.

The young woman screams and tries to get the thing off of her but she fails. She stops struggling and joins the other person. "What is going on?" you ask yourself. Suddenly you hear a scream and look to the source.

It's Eve! It looks like she was ambushed while helping people. You rush to help but by the time you reach her she's already gone.

"Get off her!" You shout as you attempt to remove the thing. "No." it's her voice but she's not the one talking. The starfish on her face is speaking through her.

"I am a scout for a great parasite. I have come here to inspect your planet and its lifeforms to find out if it is safe for us here." it continues.

"No! We won't let you take this planet!" You scream at it trying to sound stronger then you really are. Neither you nor the invader notice Eve's hands begin to glow when suddenly the strange being is blasted off her face.

Eve pants as she catches her breath. "Are you Ok?" You ask her.

"Just a headache but nothing to worry about." With that the red haired heroine shoots a blast into the sky and with a bright burst of light it rains down onto the other scouts destroying them.

"You fool!" The hostless leech taunts. "By blasting me off of your face you have sealed your fate!" You pick it up carefully and demand answers.

"What do you mean? What did you do?"

"When I attach to a host I inject a chemical into the nervous system that grants me control over their body. But when the female foolishly removed me she also removed her only chance of getting the chemical out of her. Without a parasite to regulate the chemical the host will bond to the first living creature they see. In this case you!" The alien crumbles into dust as it finishes.

You look at Eve and notice that her eyes are glazed as she stares back at you.
