Alice pleads guilty five minutes before a lawyer shows up

"Oh... okay..." Alice looked over papers of what the DA had given her, and with a heavy sigh she signed and initialed wherever the DA told her.

"Very good," the DA continued, "I'll let the judge know of this, and it'll factor into your sentencing."

Alice didn't know what 'factor into' meant - wasn't this supposed to be the be-all end-all? Whatever, she looked out of the office window to the outside, knowing she wouldn't be seeing it for a good long while.

Alice just sat there dumbfounded, her nudity the last thing on her mind as she was still processing being in this legal system for the next couple decades. After several minutes, but what seemed like eternity, the DA ahemmed once again.

"I guess he'll take you back to the cell," the DA gestured to the guard, before someone in a suit rushed in.

"Alice!" came a beam, "I'm so glad you're here! When I read your case, I was happy for this slam dunk. Don't worry, I'll throw this case out and you'll be free in no time!"

"Really?!" Alice beamed.

"Hold on," the DA interrupted, "she's already pleaded guilty," the DA handed the new attorney the papers Alice had signed.

"What?!?!" the lawyer scowled reading the papers, "Alice! Why did you do that?!"

"I'm... I'm sorry..." Alice shrank back in her chair, "I can stop..."

"No, it's too late for that," the lawyer sighed, handing the documents back to the DA, "now the best we can hope for is me pleading with the judge in the chambers."

"Wait, so I'm still going to jail?!" the realization dawned on Alice.

"It looks like it..." the lawyer sighed.

"Wait, no no no!" Alice sprang up from her chair and tried to grab the documents from the DA, who held them away from her in a game of keep-away.

"Come on," the guard pulled her up out of the chair, "we can talk about this later when the judge sentences you," as he led her out of the office back to her cell.
