Alice notes Jenn's vulnerabilities

Alice peered down at Jenn’s side, noticing the increasingly large tear. Jenn could feel her gaze on the bare skin the peeked out. Jenn reached over to try to close the tear, but that just further emphasized the open back of the robe. No matter what Jenn did, her exposed form was calling out to Alice for notice and mockery.

“Sorry,” Jenn tried to explain, “These damn gowns are so fragile.”

“Tell me about it,” Alice smirked slightly as she watched Jenn struggle. “Didn’t get it tied up the back there did you?”

Jenn, with her exposed back still facing away from Alice, gave a fake smile to say that everything was okay. It didn’t bother her at all that Alice, who always had a pompous attitude and sense of superiority, was just itching to humiliate Jenn further. And that Jenn’s state of undress gave Alice all of the ammunition to do so.

This was all obviously a lie that Jenn told herself.

“No,” Jenn tried to laugh, “I seem to be having some difficulty with gowns this morning,”

“Oh, that’s nothing new for you,” Alice joked, “We all saw that rag you wore to the PTA meeting last month.”

Hilarious.

“Do you want me to help you out at all?” Alice offered.

While the proposal was tempting, it also opened Jenn up to further vulnerabilities. If Alice was to tie up the back, it meant that Jenn had to bare her naked backside to her finally. If Alice was to help close up the tear, it would mean giving her an up close look at what the tear was begging to reveal. And even if Alice was able to help, who’s to say she wouldn’t just take advantage of the situation and make everything worse?
