Alice follows Steve back to the party

My face still smarting, I lifted one of the bags of yellow pop corn and followed Steve back down the floor lounge. By now people were pairing off and disappearing in two's, threes and even fours. Druggies, lovers and squares I chuckled aloud.

Stepping to the end table I spelled the girl playing DJ and spun a few of my old dance favorites, like Chubby Checker's twist. Everyone looked at me bit strange. It didn't bother me since I was feeling strange.

When the official DJ I wandered off looking for a new adventure.
