Alexis

It was shortly before the start of spring break and I was sitting in my creative writing class, waiting for lunch to start. In the desk next to me, my writing partner, Alexis was watching our teacher. Said teacher was handing out writing assignments for us to do over the break. As each pair received their assessment, they were allowed to leave. Finally it was me and Alexis.

"Now I would like the two of you to write me a romance short story. With the skill you two have, I expect it to be spicy. Good luck."

As we walked to the lunch room, I turned to her. "Is it just me, or is she trying to get us out of our comfort zone?"

Tilting her head, she replied. "It is the one genre that we haven't done yet."

"Yeah, but doesn't she tell us to write what we know? I've never experienced anything like that, have you?"

She blushed, then said, "No. I've never even been kissed."

I paused and looked at her. She was a little shorter than me with black hair done in a pixie cut. She wore her clothes a little baggy but because of the occasional rain, I knew she wasn't totally flat. She was cute in the girl next door kinda way.

"We'll just have to use our imaginations. Switch off each day which house we work on it at until we're finished. Where should we start? Your place or mine?"
