The words disappear as you feel your mind clear out. A slight headache remains, but it is not as much of a bother as the ringing in your ears. Trying to ignore it, you get up from bed and look around your room. Sunlight manages to slightly come through your drawn curtains, giving your room a greyish light.

You go over what was told to you, remembering the time, years ago, that you were recalled to headquarters and driven away by a mysterious group in an unmarked car. They had hired you as a sleeper agent, told you would eventually be activated and receive instructions, telling you it would be life-changing. As time went on, you had wondered if it was an elaborate joke, as you remained on the same position on your job, and nothing happened. Eventually, you decided it was all a joke and forgot about it, going about you daily, miserable life. Pay cuts had **** you to adapt, and the current reputation police had meant you didn't have many friends.

Eventually your girlfriend, Avie, left you, saying you didn't have enough money for her, and got on with a local businessman, Donet von something. You managed to go on because your relationship with her had been on a long decline, thanks to her bitchy attitude and ridiculous expectations. Her sweet and innocent facade fell away soon after your first date, but you decided to stay with her, hoping it could work out. Shortly afterwards, a promotion got you a boost in money, which made life easier. This promotion confused you, but you didn't think anything of it then, unaware it was the Syndicate helping you from the shadows.

You remind yourself of your new mission, and get up from bed, following your standard morning routine to get ready. A quick call to the "agency" manages to get you a day free of work so you may begin testing the prototypes. A quick read of the dossier informs you of the nature of the prototypes. You then head out, knowing full well on whom to test them first.
