When Alexa woke up, she was no longer in the room Carol had let her stay in. She looked around confused. She looked down and she was in just a diaper and nothing else. She was laying on a chair. “Oh that’s perfect!” She heard Carol yell. “She’ll absolutely love it, I’m sure. I’ve always wanted a daughter! And now I can finally have one. All that work paid off so well. She’s so cute too! Thank you so much for helping me out.”
“It’s no problem, Carol. This is the last thing you need to sign. And we finished the room,” Alexa heard a man’s voice saying.
“And done,” Carol said. “Let me go check on my baby girl now.”
Alexa pretended to be still asleep when Carol entered. She clapped her hands. “Lexi! Wake uup!” Carol sang. “I just finished putting together everything! You’re now my daughter!”
Alexa said. “M-mommy… what’s going on?”
“I have a big surprise for you, Alexa!” Carol said excitedly. “I had it arranged as soon as I could.”
“What?” Alexa said.
“Come on, I’ll show you. Close your eyes,” Carol said as she took Alexa’s hand.
Alexa let Carol pull her along, eyes shut, wondering what the jovial mother had done.
After some walking, Alexa heard a door swing open and Carol uncovered Alexa’s eyes…. “SURPRISE!” Carol shouted as Alexa looked around, her jaw dropped.
