Alex mentioned something

Sarah stirs at the sound of the knock, her sleepy eyes blinking open fully now. She pushes herself up onto her elbows, the oversized white shirt slipping further off one shoulder as she looks toward the door, then back at you with a puzzled tilt of her head.

She notices you pulling the curtains open wider, letting more warm light spill across the room. A small, sleepy smile plays on her lips, completely unaware of the effect the light has on the thin fabric she's wearing.

"Mm? Oh, that's right — Alex mentioned something about stopping by." She rubs her eyes and swings her legs out of bed, padding barefoot across the floor toward the door. "I've got it, baby. You handle the toast."
