Chapter 3 by AnthroLover AnthroLover

Now, what kind of guy are you?

Alan, a 22-year-old who dreams of dragons

There were some words that people who knew Alan would use to describe him.

Some called him a genius. Who wouldn’t call someone who graduated at university and got two different degrees, one of law and the other of engineering, before turning twenty of genius?

Some called him a dreamer. He was the type of person who always seemed to be thinking of something. What, it was hard to tell, but it was clear that it was something that drained nearly all of his attention of what was happening around him. Still, it was not as if he was aloof, by any means. He was one of the most attentive and perceptive people around, and he seemed to always think things through before doing anything.

Some even called him a loner. Some say that people with great intelligence often distanced themselves from other people, and it seemed to be the case with Alan. He had many friends and was a very articulated fella, but he almost never would spontaneously start a conversation with people or approach a group on a party. Also, there was the fact that Alan had only had one girlfriend in his entire life, and it was right at the beginning of high-school, and after their broke up he never really got in a relationship with anyone, even though he had a lot of women lining up to try their luck with him. After all, he was a very attractive man.

These were some of the words used to describe Alan, and all of them were correct in one manner or another.

For being a loner, it was no surprise that he had come to this coffee shop all by himself, where he found the book just by pure chance. For being a genius, he was a reasonable man, and such he took what was written on the book about it being able to reshape reality with a grain of salt so big that he nearly got up and tossed the thing right on the trash. However, for being a dreamer, a small part of him wondered if the book could actually be truth, and such, he decided to test out by using the female employees of the coffee shop as his guinea pigs.

What wasn’t his surprise when what he wrote down actually turned into reality. The shock was so great that Alan nearly let out a curse, and he spent nearly two minutes staring at the female employees, until one of them called him out to it, making him apologize and return his attention back to the book.

Looking at the rule he just wrote, Alan then used the eraser on his pencil to wipe it out of the book, and he then looked around once more. He watches as the tops of all females phase back in existence, as if they had never vanished, and it seemed that no one in there, not the staff and neither the costumers, had noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Alan was speechless. He just sat in there, staring at the void for a few seconds as his mind processed what had just happened, and what he now had on his hands.

His eyes moved to the rulebook, which was still open before him, the blank page seemed to be inviting him to write anything else in it. Anything he wanted. Even his deepest, most secret, most **** wishes.

What will he do now?
