Akira tries to act normal around her.

They'll be graduating from the ninja academy soon and be promoted to genin (lowest ranked ninja). Then he won't have too take classes with his stepmom anymore.

But Ino has other plans. 'I hope we are put in the same team Akira-kun!' she tells him. Ninjas usually work in three person teams so Akira may end up going on missions with Ino!
