What's next?
Ain't no rest for the wicked.
After finishing their meal and hugging each other farewell, Susan waved back to her friends as they all went their separate ways and promised to do this again next week. Tigra held up her on over her shoulder where the orange striped toddler waved back frantically back at Suzie just as the ladies left their respective ways, leaving Susan to go on her own way on foot.
On her walk down the street, Susan smiled cheerfully. The cake was FANTASTIC, she hadn’t felt that good in a long, LONG time, and she was still riding the chocolate high as she playfully skipped her way down the street, letting her dress flow in the breeze as she made her way from shop to shop. Admiring the wares and stopping in front of a dress shop when something caught her eye.
Admiring the beautiful attire on display and crossing her arms as she looked from one mannequin to the next, each wearing something that caught the eye, the woman hummed to herself in thought. Looking up at a lovely red dress meant for perhaps a night out on the club, Susan tapped at her lip when her clothing took on the appearance of the dress, leaving a few dozen people to pause in surprise seeing a woman’s clothing change from a lovely frilled white dress to a form fitting red cocktail dress that matched the one in the window.
“Hmm… THIS will certainly make Reed look away from his microscope for more than five seconds!”
Turning back and forth like she was modelling, she was nonplus to the crowd who blinked back at her and made about their day. That was until her clothes melted again and took the form of a blue bikini with a smock skirt around her waist. The sight of which caused a man to walk into a light post and a woman to bring her hand to her husband’s eyes as they passed Susan by. Posing again, Susan smirked back at her reflection in the window, blowing herself a kiss and ignoring a few people who instantly took pictures of her.
“Hmm…. Maybe I’ll wear this when beach weather comes back, I’ll certainly turn heads with this number.”
“Your tellin me…” Murmured a random person walking back, ignored by the Invisible Woman as she took on a more pedestrian look based on what was on display. Her bikini and skirt melting to take the form of washed jeans, a black blouse and dark blue jacket.
Pleased with the look, she went on her way, smiling to herself that she essentially had a wardrobe at her fingertips at any time. Looking down at her jacket sleeve, the blonde woman smiled to herself. Then she thought back to how she used the symbiote to cure little William of his skin rash. Come to think of it, she did MUCH more than that when she cured those three people of being giant arachnids. Her mind was a buzz with questions of just what else she could do.
Questions that reached the back burner of her mind when she heard police sirens call out a block ahead of her. Looking around with a look of excitement, she found an alley to escape into, where seconds later Lady Anti-Venom swung out and made her way to catch up to the cruisers on their way to a crime scene.
Following the cruisers until they finally made a stop in front of the history museum. Susan landed on the underside of the high rise nearly to watch what was going on. Several police had the area blocked off and keeping the news out of harm’s way as a cop with a bullhorn tried to negotiate with someone inside.
“Bad guys locked up in the museum with who knows who they have at gun point…” A gun shot from inside made everyone jump as the cop on the bullhorn tries to plead some mercy. “AND they have itchy trigger fingers…”
Snapping her fingers, the symbiote suit enveloped her hair and face, and took on the appearance of the wall behind her, a chameleon effect that made her invisible as she swung her way over to the museum roof and crawled her wall over to a sky light unseen. Getting inside without the criminals inside not knowing no wiser. Crawling her way over the ceiling and still invisible to the naked eye, she managed to find the dozen or so people huddled around in a group, while a bunch of gun totting henchmen in green armor patrolled and barked orders and profanities while their leader gave conditions to their release.
“No rest for the wicked I guess.”

Somewhere deep in the sewers.
The jackal was looking into a microscope in his personal lab, gauging and checking the results of his latest experiment as the radio played in the background. He left it on for his… Patients. Among their other behaviours under his control, music seemed to calm them enough to keep them idle as they hung from the walls and ceilings, curled up in rest.
Stepping away from the microscope, the man looked over to a trio of large glass cannisters which held something that looked humanoid in the murky fluid they were suspended in. Looking over their vitals, he documented his findings and went back to his microscope. That is until the radio’s music changed to a news report.
“We interrupt this song to advise the public of a dangerous incident in downtown New York, a hostage situation has broken out after a group calling themselves the ‘Bite of the Hydra’ stormed into the history museum and rounded up people. They have yet to make demands, but the police have the museum surrounded, and… What’s this? It would seem one of our local heroes has arrived on the scene!”
Smiling to himself, the Jackal checked the vitals of one his subjects still in their vats and thought on what was being described over the radio.
“Interesting development, well then, perhaps its time then to push the next step of my schemes. No rest for the wicked I guess…”
