Sensing a lull in the storm, the two of you make a mad dash to your car. The storm picks up again, just as you slam your doors shut. The rain stomps angrily on your roof, like a troupe of mad tap-dancers, deafening you as you rev your engine to life. Your tires spin dangerously as you drive as fast and as carefully as you can back to your house.

The drive back is absolutely terrifying and Lily spends the entire trip with her head between her knees. Somewhere along the way, the wind tears a tree off it's roots in front of you, and you slam on the brakes. But instead of stopping, you skid along the flooded streets, heading straight for it. You brace yourself for a crash, but you hear Djal yell in your mind, screaming at you to stomp on the gas. Flashes of red, orange and white lights mingle together ahead, as Djal fires bolts of energy at the tree. It explodes into flaming splinters and you barrel through the wreckage blindly. Djal protects you in this way, blasting any obstacles that block your way to pieces and sending flying debris in other directions as you drive home.

When you get home, the wind slams your door shut behind you, leaving you and Lily standing in your entryway, soaking wet. Shaking the water off your face, you frantically flip your light switch, but no luck, your power's out. You tell Lily to wait in your sitting room while you go grab a couple of towels. Lighting strikes again when you return and Lily jumps into your arms. You dry her head with a towel while she squeezes you tightly, stabbing you slightly with all the spikes on her clothes.

You are actually grateful that Djal kept you safe on your way here and are even more grateful that he's now steaming himself dry, and in the process, heating up the room a little bit. You sit Lily down on the couch and dry yourself off when your phone starts to buzz.
