What's next?
Agree
The possibilities of owning the estate, regardless of the responsibilities it entails, far outweigh the negatives in your estimation. You happily agree to the adoption, much to Mr. Robinson's delight. The two of you shake hands, and the next morning set off to town for the lawyer's office. While the forms and procedures will take a while, especially communicating with the Robinson estate back in Britain, it is assured that you will be the new heir to the Robinson fortune.
Despite all of the bad luck you've had previously, this is the first time things have undoubtedly gone very well. As you ride back to the estate, you look at it in a new light. Not as your place of work, but your future. And so many possibilities. What of the slaves and their children? WIll you emancipate them? Keep the women as your breeders and sire a great brood? Hell, even sell the damned place and retire comfortably back home. Ah, tonight, your dreams will be busy.
