Agree carefully and see where it goes

You can’t deny, that this is a fucked up situation. Even with a side job and a weekend job you are barely able to pay the rent and your food. And why the hell did your mother talked with her former husband despite all the times she told you to stay away from everything related to him. But would he really kill her because of one short phone call after years of separation?

In the end you must say Agent Warren is right. Your family will not let you stay with them out of love. Rather to make sure your mother never told you anything. You have to work with the FBI to get this new identity and find your mothers killer. But this has nothing to do with justice. You do this for yourself.

“Ok, let’s say I’m interested,” you say carefully, “how would this help you offered me look like?”

“Very simple,” Agent Warren says, “the lawyer will bring you to your father. You will likely stay at his mansion for a couple of days. His most important alleys and henchmen regularly stay at this mansion too. And we want you to listen to them and tell us everything important you hear. If you find our something helpful, we take care of the rest. And when we have proof against the head of the Pike-family, or when it is too dangerous for you to continue, we provide you with a new identity and enough money to finish graduation in another state.”

“Well, I make no promises, but I guess we can work together,” you say and nod, “what about my mother?”

“Police and FBI will continue to investigate and if we find something we will let you know,” Agent Warren answers, “speaking of police, I think we took the office of the detective long enough. And I’m sure the lawyer is already out of patience.”
