Afterword

Okay, first off, The End does not necessarily mean The End. It is more AN end. This story arch of Jacob bringing Ves into the family is complete. Other stories may spring off from here but that initial story arch is complete and it makes a good jumping off point for potential sequels. I’m not sure yet if I will continue from here or go back to “Your New Life” for the next story thread. But that won’t happen right away. I need to take some time to finish an eBook or two to put up for sale and for my Patrons. I am actually trying make some dolla’s with my crazy writing after all.

Now that you’ve gotten a chance to meet the cast of characters, minus poor Grace whom I simply couldn’t find a place for in this thread, remember to go back and let me know which characters you’d like to see more of.

Finally, I KNOW you guys wanted me to off the Dad. I get it. I KNOW this is not the ending a lot of you wanted. But I really wanted the family together and whole at the end of this first story thread, and I wanted a “happy” ending. Nothing I say will turn your opinion of him, and that’s totally cool, but do try to remember that he was trying to avoid the literal end of the world (and the **** of his entire family) at the hands of Lovecraftian horrors. He had reasons, even if he was arrogant and misguided.

Whew, that was a HELL of a lot of fun. This story grabbed me more than I thought it would. I can’t wait to revisit the Devlin’s as soon as I find the opportunity.
