"Well, that was fun," your dad said. "Let's make it a regular thing."
You giggled. And then you drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, you awoke to the smell of bacon cooking. Your father was already up and dressed, pouring coffee. He smiled at you, and you smiled back.
"What's the occasion?" you asked.
"Just celebrating our new life together," he said. "My wife can have anything she wants."
You felt your heart swell with joy. Today was the beginning of something special.
