Chapter 19
by SingingLark
Happily ever after?
Aftermath - the Princess Favor.
Days turned into weeks and into months. Liandra found great pleasure in learning something new every day, and the most when she could share the moment with one of her new found friends.
The kingdom was told the princess left in a holy mission, that she sacrificed herself for the good and happiness of her subjects. There was much sadness, but it was replaced with joy when news of the Queen´s new pregnancy was announced.
Prince Mortimer was the only one who didn't accept her sudden departure, and ordered his knights to try to find her. More than a handful did, but none recognized Liandra as the princess they were looking for. Eventually the prince denounced it as a Nocternian plot, but his words fell on deaf years. Prince Mortimer eventually married to a minor baroness, but never felt strong enough to challenge either Luxius or Nocternia, and peace reigned.
Liandra´s days were filled with joy, even if she had to work hard day and night. The Princess Favor flourished with her enthusiasm, and the girls agreed to spend their money with sponsoring an orphanage.
Many years later she agree to marry the city guard Rodrik, who remained her most faithful client. She didn't stop working, she just started giving it all to charity. She had six daughters, a wonderful collection of blondes, brunettes and redheads, and even a half elf.
