Afterglow

Josk and Ria cuddled gently, basking in the afterglow of sex.

"That was amazing," Ria said. "Thank you, Josk. I know it was a lot to ask of you."

"It was my honor, Ria," Josk said. "You are a fine woman, and a good friend."

"Josk, I want more," she said. "I... I loved every second of it, and I want to do it again."

"Ria," Josk laughed, and it was strange to see him smile, he was usually so serious and dour, "Ria, after that I think I need some time to recover. I'm not Brudd or Yolna. I can't go again and again like they do."

Ria pouted, but leaned back into his embrace.

"Very well," she said. "Just... lay with me for a while?"

"Of course," he said.

And they fell asleep.
