Max whimpered at the sight. After finding Rachel wasn't dead, Jefferson had apparently killed another girl from out of town and buried her there while Rachel was dropped in the woods only to stumble into a town a few counties over, she and Chloe had all gathered together.

Chloe was in heaven at having both of them together, which turned into a strange but fun relationship, Rachel had dared them to sneak into the school when it was empty.

She groaned as the memory played in her head.
