After her first dance

The backstage area was a blur of activity, but to Krissy, everything seemed to move in slow motion. She quickly found her discarded clothes and slipped into them, her thoughts racing. The high of her performance was now being replaced by the reality of what she had just done. The looks on the faces of the patrons were still fresh in her mind. But the one she couldn't shake was Mr. Adams'.

She'd seen his face in the crowd, and he looked pleased, but was it enough? She was ****.

A gentle touch on her shoulder brought her back as she was lost in thought. Looking up, she found herself face-to-face with a tall, raven-haired woman with striking features. The woman, introducing herself as Selene, was one of the club's star performers.

"You did good out there for a first-timer," Selene said with a perfect smile.

Krissy's cheeks flushed, "I didn't think it would be this hard... I didn't know if I could do it at all."

Selene nodded, understanding in her eyes. "This isn't an easy job, and it's not for everyone. But I think you have what it takes." She said as she looked Krissy up and down.
