After School

Maggie had asked Heidi whether she would like to come over to Chrissie's place after school and as expected Heidi had jumped at the chance. Her father had agreed, as usual. Maggie suspected that he thought hanging with intelligent people like Maggie and Chrissie helped her GPA.

They had ridden the bus back to Maggie and Chrissie's stop (after a little convincing of the bus driver by Maggie) and were now at Chrissie's house.

"Hi Dad" says Chrissie as she walks through the front door.

"Hi Mr. Collins" says Maggie

"Hi Mr. Collins" says Heidi smiling sweetly and pushing out her chest.

"Hello Girls" Says Chrissie's Father, Richard Collins. "Would you girls like something to drink?" He looks like he's just woken up after a long night of drinking himself. Maggie touches the bone and removes his hangover while convincing him that it is the sight of Heidi that has made him feel better.

"Just lemonade, Dad" says Chrissie. "We'll be in the lounge."

The girls sit down and chat about how their day has been. As they hear Chrissie's dad about to enter Heidi undoes her top two buttons and shortens her skirt, as she has done so many times before when Richard Collins was around.

"Thank you, Mr. Collins" says Heidi bending forward to take a glass of lemonade. "I'm feeling kind of hot"

Maggie touches the wishbone Heidi is coming on to you, just like she has for years. Your tired of not knowing why she's doing it, you need to know how serious she is and how far she's willing to go. Her interest is beginning to make you feel better about yourself and the more interested she becomes in you the better you'll feel.

"You're right" says Richard "You do look hot"

"Thank-you, Mr. Collins" says Heidi looking sweetly seductive and then a little surprised when Richard doesn't start backpedaling.

"Please, Heidi, call me Richard. I think we're both old enough to talk to each other as equals"

Heidi's face is positively radiant with surprise and joy that a man she is attracted to has finally realized that she isn't a child anymore. "O.k. Richard. Um-do you want to sit down and talk for a bit?"

Maggie looks over at Chrissie who is trying to hide her own joy at her father's change of attitude. "Chrissie" Maggie says "We should really go and get you ready for your date. Heidi are you coming?"

"N-no" says Heidi momentarily pulled out of examining Richard's eyes. "I think I'll stay here and talk to Richard for a while, if that's O.k."

"Fine with me" says Chrissie positively beaming and she and Maggie walk out the door.

Once they are out in the hall Chrissie suddenly hugs Maggie. "Did you see dad? Did you see how happy Heidi made him? He hasn't looked that happy in years. Oh Maggie, thank-you."

"I-I didn't do anything" says Maggie suddenly worried that Chrissie had somehow picked up on her manipulations.

"You thought of inviting her over here to help me get ready for my date which meant she and Dad were able to see each other... not that they haven't before but today must be blessed or something. You and Dave, me and Rafe, Heidi and Dad. It's like cupid's been working overtime today. Its just so great!"

"Speaking of your date, you had better start getting ready." Said Maggie.

"Oh yeah" said Chrissie "So are you coming?"
