Aegis, a shield for an area

The second spell you've learned is Aegis, a spell that conjures a powerful shield that extends out around you. It's a large enough shield for a small group of people to cluster underneath, and it will last as long as you keep focusing on it and no one crosses its threshold from inside. It will eventually shatter under persistent attacks, though.

You're extremely fortunate to have learned magic at all - few people do, any more. But then, it's not the only gift you've got supporting your adventuring career.
