How Do Things Play Out?
Adding the Bard to the Party
After stashing their gear in the room, which was actually pretty nice, before making their way back down to the commons. The bard was finished with her story, or at least her audience was done with it and decided to scatter, so she decided to take up a table with a drink of some kind. Including the chair the amethyst drake-kin was in, the round table she was at had five chairs in total, which meant four seats were currently open at the table. Keldan and his companions made their way to the table the drake-kin was at and stopped just short of it.
“Mind if we join you,” inquired Keldan; it was always good manners to ask if a table was already occupied but still seemed to have space. Keldan noted that her bust was very much a lovely LL-Cup size.
“Not at all,” said the drake-kin, her voice had a musical crystalline resonance to it, “you’re quite the odd traveling companions,” she remarked as the three took seats at the table.
“I suppose so,” said Devallia, “I suppose introductions are in order, it’s only fair.”
“True,” said the drake-kin woman, “who would like to start?”
“My name is Keldan,” said Keldan, “I’m a mostly self-taught Paladin, and despite how things may look, I’m actually a Dreamborn.”
The drake-kin blinked for a moment in surprise before saying, “You didn’t strike me as a typical human, and now I found out it was because you weren’t technically human, to begin with. I’m Rilkimsha; as you can see, I’m a drake-kin, and my vocation is a Bard who seeks out stories, legends, myths, and more; I’m on the hunt for the lore lost, forgotten, and misplaced. But everything has its expenses, as you probably know already.”
“I’m Helen,” said Helen, “as you can see, I’m a minotaur. My tribe practically threw me out for the taboo of being a female who chose to take the path of a warrior; they have some very annoying traditions that have been needing overhauling for far too long.”
Rilkimsha gave a bit of a chuckle before saying, “You must at least have some interesting stories passed on down through the tribe; I would love to hear a few at a later date when we both have a bit more time together.”
“You can call me Devallia,” said Devallia, “as you can see, I am a demon-kin, and I was kept locked up in a room by my sire and his son; they tried to mentally and emotionally **** me for the years I lived there, but I had the mental fortitude to withstand that, I even figured out tricks to disregard such behaviors, but did still manage to financially **** me due to the numerous restrictions they put on my actions; I am a natural mage, and I have the power to channel the power of storms through myself.”
“How did you come into that power,” said Rilkmisha with a great inquiry.
“Back when I lived with my mother before my sire became aware of my existence, she told me that we were descended from a thunder demon, hence why I am also a demon-kin, but she never elaborated on more than that, I’m sorry to say. Now then, on to business. You’ve probably assessed we are here for more than a friendly chat, yes?”
“Of course,” said Rilkimsha, “what is it you are after?”
“I would very much appreciate you becoming our traveling companion,” said Keldan, “I’m actually going around to gather up a party made up of women of a certain persuasion.”
“And what sort would that be,” inquired Rilkimsha.
“Exceptionally well-endowed,” said Keldan, “within some reason. And you fall very much into that category of woman; I was actually chasing after some rumors about you regarding the town up the way when we stumbled into this place, and I saw you among the patrons.”
“And for what reason are you seeking such women out,” inquired the drake-kin bard.
“I made a promise to my mother,” said Keldan, “that I would gather up a harem of exceptionally well-endowed women and form a family with them. Which also means finding the right place to build a home, which is also part of this quest, but it’s mostly about finding the right ladies.”
“So,” said Rilkimsha, “you plan on making me your lover… not the worst proposal I’ve heard; I actually find it kind of sweet, but you do realize the prospect of me giving you offspring is slim to none, right?”
“That doesn’t matter as much as we’re both enjoying our time together,” said Keldan, “As long as at least one of the ladies I share my intimate time with is able to bear children with me, I don’t really care if there are others were that can’t happen with me. I’m even open to you having your own lovers after we’re together after we establish a few special rules.”
“Well,” said Rilkimsha, “that’s a bit smoother than I anticipated,” she took a moment to think, “and having a traveling group could help me with a few things. Are you okay with getting sidetracked on your quest to help me chase after what I’m interested in?”
“Of course,” said Keldan, “but if the side quest ends up going a bit too long, I might feel the need to drag you out of it so we can reevaluate some things.”
“Fair enough,” said Rilkimsha, “okay, I’m in on your little harem quest, and the offer is far better than the other idiots that approached me just so they could find the best way to bed me.”
“Great,” said Devallia, “who should we scout out next? The enchantress and thief? The priestess and the sailor? The elf? The monk? The rabbit? Or should we set our sights on places to get our hands on to have some fun times with minimal interference?”
“You’re oddly enthusiastic about all this,” said Rilkimsha, “but given how you’ve been until recently, I suppose that’s to be expected,” she turned her attention to Keldan, “You’ve got quite the list of objectives; I admire the ambition.”
