“What are you doing?” Annette for the first time tonight felt fear.

Ada whipped her head backward for a growl before striking down on Annette’s neck, piercing the artery with her sharp fangs. Annette struggled desperately and tried to kick the vampire with her ankles, but it was pointless. The gap of strength between a fully fed vampire and a middle aged mortal was too wide for her to handle.

Ada cleared her mind and quickly caught up with her thrall.
