Activation. [WM]

"This is a ritual?.." Astrid muttered showing her surprise. And, at hearing Viv suggest they could find a lost city she began to get excited. She loved exploring lost and abandoned places. It was part of the reason she wanted to be an adventurer "Really?" She exclaimed asking as if Vivian was kidding. And for it to be away from the central ring meant a unique location they likely didn't know about... A place that isn't mapped.

Astrid walked over to the would-be teleporter and began looking it over excitedly. "So how do we start it?! None of my classes covers anything to do with teleportation! Er... assuming that this is a teleporter, anyway," She stuttered wondering if she was right about the magical device or not.

Vivian began and quickly stifled a giggle. It was adorable to see the taller woman look so excited, even if Astrid was less studious than Viv was. Instead of responding to Astrid's question, Vivian moved out from behind Astrid and over towards one of the consoles, her wings stretching out a moment in the bigger chamber before furling back up.

As Vivian approached the console, silver lines began tracing themselves along the exposed skin of the mage's hand, gently pulsing in time to some distant arcane clock. With a raised hand over one of the console, Vivian intones two simple words, their sound echoing with the soft sound of a system skill, "[Identify Arcane]."

Following her words, matching silver lines, angular like the traces of wires within circuitry, form and flow over the console, dancing about the interconnected parts of the arcane construct that makes up the chamber, momentarily lighting up the room. Yet, as the light fades, a slight frown becomes visible on Vivian's lips, until all that remains visible is the circle of light from her flashlight, and the gentle blue glow along the middle of the opposite wall, "It's... Already active. That could be a problem..."
