Act casual

Julie took a few deep breaths. Then, she stood up and began walking towards the unattended towels. Her body screamed to run, but she forced herself to walk calmly. Anything more would only draw more eyes to her. She approached the pool and nobody even looked up at her, it was working! Julie's heart was pounding.

Just before she reached the towels, a group of girls emerged from the changing rooms and sat down on the chairs the towels were draped over. Now, Julie's opportunity and target was gone, and she began to panic. She kept on walking, although she no longer knew where to. She heard people start to murmur, and then she just turned and ran away.
