Act Quickly.

You thought about Jessica's advice and had to agree. You knew that John would be trying to think of a way out of his situation, and you needed to act first to catch him off guard. The next morning at work, you decided to act.

You went into John's office unannounced and sat down in front of him. He looked up at you cautiously.

"Hello Steve... Did you need something?" He asked you dryly.

"Yeah. I realised that you've never invited me to your house before. You've had plenty of the staff at your house for dinner, but never me and my wife. I think it's about time you did, hm?" You spoke with an admirable confidence that you never would have dreamed of before.

"You're still with your wife?" He asked you, shocked. You thought he even sounded slightly suspicious.

"Yes. I have decided to forgive her. You, not so much... But we can work on it." You replied.

John stared at you. The corner of his mouth twitched as he thought of his response, but eventually he begrudgingly replied. "I-.. Well... I suppose. Okay, fine. Why don't you come over next Friday?" He offered.

You grinned at him. "Let's make it this Friday." You told him as you stood up.

"Tch, alright fine. This Friday." He waved a hand dismissively at you. As you turned to leave, you noticed his expression was dark. He knew that you were plotting.

You went back to your desk and continued to work through your files. As the day ended, you drove home and began to devise a plan.

One thing was for sure - this wouldn't be easy without Matt's help. You thought about asking him to come with you to dinner. You could tell John that Matt was your brother and visited you as a surprise. If he came with you on the night, he couldn't say no in front of Sasha.
