Accidentally Setting Up The Next Assignment

The alarm rings both Carly and Caroline are roll over reaching out to hit the snooze button. Caroline makes it while Carly hand strikes the frame of the bed, beginning to swell up instantly. “Ow!” Carly cries out, fully waking Caroline instantly

“What wrong Carly?”

“I just hit my wrist against the bed

“Klutz!” Looking at the clock “Oh well it’s time to get up if we’re going to make it in on time!”

Thereaux walks in, his eyes buried in the folder in his hands. “Got your next assignment Carly!” Pausing without looking up “Its at Humdinger General!” Getting no reply he finally looks up. “Great to know that I’m talking to myself!” Looking around before going to his desk

Caroline walks in like she owns the place followed by Carly, holding her right wrist.

“Well thank you two for being prompt!” Noticing Carly holding her wrist “Something wrong Carly?”

“Hurt my wrist this morning and its aching something fierce!” Moving to her desk. “Wouldn’t happen to have any Tylenol would you?”

“Well I have just the thing for that!” Tossing the file onto her desk, “Your next assignment is going to be at Humdinger General!” Smirking “And this time we may not have to fake a reason for you to be there!”

Oh great! A trip to ‘Hellhole Hospital!” not holding her disdain for the place. Getting up “If you don’t hear from me by Wednesday send flowers to my parents please!”

“Buck up Graspper, it not that bad a place, according to the complaints its the walk-in clinic where the incidents are occurring!” getting up grabbing his coat “Tell you what I’ll even drive you there and stay with you!” laughing as he puts his coat on

“What’s so funny?”

“Oh just the fact to stay in character you’ll have to call me daddy!”

“Not on your life Thereaux! Walking out before him “I’d rather die than do that!”

Caroline giggling at that mental image as they walk out. Calling out to then “Hey don’t forget to charge it to the health plan!”
