Accident

Ryan knew what he had to choose. “Tell her I had an accident,” Ryan said.

Sarah smiled. “We’re not going to tell her,” Sarah said. “You are.”

Sarah held up a plastic bag which had the disposed pull up diaper.

Ryan gasped. “W-what…”

“You’re going to show her this and tell her that you wore a pull up to school and had an accident,” Sarah said. “We will know if you don’t. And if you don’t, you will be expelled and you can expect that any school who promises you a scholarship to will take it away from a high school drop out.”

Ryan’s eyes widened. He took hold of the bag absolutely humiliated that he could clearly see his accident in the juvenile attire. He nodded and shoved it in his backpack. He stood up and ran out the door not waiting for another chance to be humiliated.

He made his way all the way home and found his mom waiting for him with her arms crossed. “Ryan Reid, get your butt in here!” His mom yelled.

Ryan scrambled inside as he took his shame out from the bag but saw his mom holding his sheets. They had been soaked and Ryan didn’t notice. His eyes widened. “M-mom… I…”

“You wet the bed,” His mom said.

Ryan gulped. “I… I have something to tell you,” Ryan said as he held up the pull up. I… I went to school in a pull up… and I had an accident…”

Ryan quivered in utter humiliation. His mom looked at him furious. “You… you wet yourself at school?” His mom said.

Ryan slowly nodded knowing that he had to say it that way.
